Scanning more than 200 medical notebooks, comprising more than 36,00 pages of information for Scripps Research Institute
The world-renowned Scripps Research Institute wanted to make some of its special notebooks available to a greater audience than just its San Diego location.
Researching many medical initiatives, the La Jolla branch of Scripps Research Institute has accumulated a wealth of information that they felt would benefit a wider group of scientists, so they wished to publish them on a larger scale.
The Scripps Research Institute enlisted us to help scan more than 200 medical notebooks, comprising more than 36,000 pages of information.
The highly specialized nature of the notebooks, often resembling scrapbooks with inserts of various tests, required a white-glove service to preserve their integrity.
Individually scanning each page with an overhead camera, our team ensured a high level of quality control from both an accuracy and quality of image standpoint. It was paramount to ensure slight color variations would translate to the digital formats, differentiating it from typical scanning processes.
The result was a remotely available archive of research notes that can benefit the entire industry.
